Hymn For A Miraculous Stag
Break the silence oh miraculous white and golden stag
For the forget-me-nots are grandest and fairest of the lot
Of all the tiger lilies, lavender, lotuses, and rattail statices
We found each other along a pristine lake surrounded by rowan
Dug into the palatial mounds is where a noble hall sits
Beauteous faeries flap to the rhythm of its celestial sphere
Break the silence oh miraculous white and golden stag
Take us to the place with the most archaic and intricate sorcery
And thank the blessings of the man in green for our gnomish growths
As conductors of this grand forest and the deep unconscious
The light between the leaves blinds our eyes and binds our fingers
Getting lost in each other’s patience looking for some beacon of hope
Break the silence oh miraculous white and golden stag
For wisdom cannot be simply conjured as it must be earned
Manifest magic so we might withstand these trials
Through the hands that create us and the hands that guide
We fall back into place yet stay weary of how our auras touch
Alchemizing our anger into love as we evaluate our spirits
Break the silence oh miraculous white and golden stag
Until rapid heat death of the universe do us part
Drink from this chalice of materialized misuse
Pour out its legendary contents to produce a mess
My love a puddle with its liquid turn twisted tempest
The analogous calm before cyclones of chimeras
Break the silence oh miraculous white and golden stag
So this mausoleum’s pillars and friezes are filled with laughter
To bear fruit or reveries from the trees in its hanging gardens
For mistakes could be made but I won’t let you leave
Because fear of softness and safety is what drove us
To this maddening and melancholic wizarding world
